St Leonard’s Green Scheme – Fundraising Activities
We have lots of plans for fundraising and community activities in the works, so do come back regularly to see what you would like to get involved in. In the meantime, here is what is finalised or has happened so far:
Silent Auction (8th August – 5th September)
Thanks to the generosity of people across the benefice, we have some extraordinarily exciting lots up for auction. From works of art, to holiday lets, to skill sharing and experiences, there is something for almost everyone. It went live on 8th August for four weeks only, so bid early and bid often! Sponsor a Pew
This is the mainstay that will run throughout the project. If you (either as an individual or a group) would like to sponsor the cost of the heaters and its share of panels, batteries etc. for a pew, there are two sizes: larger pews at £1500 and smaller pews at £500.
Green Scheme Picnic (June 9th, 2024)
The Allfreys kindly hosted a village picnic on Sunday 9th June (appropriately enough, World Environment Sunday) in the gardens of the Old Rectory in Semley from 1pm. Many villagers came to find out in person what this scheme is all about in a celebratory atmosphere where we shared food, drink and enthusiasm in typical Semley fashion.
